Don't forget to set your clock back one hour tomorrow morning, gaining an hour extra of sleep time, because Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 AM. I am always confused a few days after time changes. It's a good idea to change the battery in your smoke alarm too.

This day recognized the United Nation organization and all who serve and participate in this world organization. The United Nations is dedicated to world peace and to the betterment of humanity through a wide range of program from world hunger to environment and health issues. Almost all of the more than 100 countries in the world are members of this organization.

Boring fact: Columbus Day was originally celebrated on October 12 of each year. The day commemorates Christopher Columbus’s landing in the new world on October 14,1492. The holiday was later changed in 1971 to the second Monday of October.
