In Memory of the Victims and Heroes of September 11th 2001

For the past few days, the news has been reminding us of the anniversary of one of the most horrible days America has ever seen. I really don't need a reminder. I remember every detail of that awful day. It is so hard to believe it has been 9 years. I hope and pray that my grandchildren will never know such a horrible day.

My husband and I will never forget what happened on this terrible day. He woke me up at about 10pm. He was watching the late night news and at first we thought it was a hoax of some kind.

I have been thinking of all of the families and friends who lost loved ones this weekend also. Lest we forget.

Best wishes,
Natasha.

Yes, thank you for the reminder. An asault on the soul of America. A very tender wound that shall never healed.

It does not seem like 9 years has passed. I remember waiting 2 weeks to hear from some people that worked at the Trade Center...to know if they were ok. It was horrible.

Part of me knows just how long ago it was. I commute to my job through the world Trade Center and can see all the changes as the new buildings are constructed, the place doesn't look the same. But the emotions from that day are still with me...I was fortunate not to be in the city that day, but I lost a former coworker, a secretary in my office lost her firefighter husband and several friends who worked downtown are on the health watch list because of exposure to the dust when the towers fell. May we never see another day as bad as that one!

Till today I cry each time I watch the documentary. It was a sad sad day. No one will ever forget it! Not in a million years.
