Happy Sweetest Day

This is the first I have heard of Sweetest Day, but apparently it's been around since 1922.It started as a day to bring happiness to shut-ins, orphans, and others who are forgotten or lonely or otherwise underpriveleged. It has now evolved into a day to show appreciation to friends, family, and romantic partners. Any occasion to buy chocolate is okay with me!

Happy Columbus Day

Happy Columbus Day! Columbus Day to me is so exciting because my inbox is filled with coupons. I plan on spending the day shopping. Oh yeah, also the day is honored to commemorate the landing of Christopher Columbus in the New World on October 12, 1492.
