Great American Smokeout

Today is the day in which smokers are encouraged to quit. This is the 36th annual smokeout. I quit smoking 2 years, 7 months ago and I've never regretted it. Now if I could just encourage my mom, sisters, and sons to quit! The American Cancer Society has some excellent tips on quitting smoking-http://www.cancer.org/Healthy/StayAwayfromTobacco/GreatAmericanSmokeout/

We're doing it a bit differently in Canada.
In many cities, there are no buildings in which one can smoke, except one's home. It's only a start, but it is working.

Hi Sue..I just popped in to say hello. You are one of my followers..and I should have been here long ago..if just to say hello.
Life gets in the way and keeping up with blogging..has been a challenge and it's very time comsuming.
My husband died from lung cancer..which you may know ...or not..so I am very concious of smokers. I was raised with smokers..and tried to be one myself..but it just was not in me to do it...thank heavens.
I hope all is well in your family..and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. A VERY wonderful Christmas holiday season!!
Hugs,
